Privacy Policy — Copy Text from Image
Effective date: July 18, 2026
Copy Text from Image is made by Cosy Touch Limited, the company behind MiniWebtool.com.
The short version
Your images are never uploaded, and this extension does not collect, store, transmit or sell any of your data. Text recognition happens entirely on your own computer.
How recognition works
When you right-click an image or capture an area of the screen, the extension reads the image inside your browser and runs the open-source Tesseract recognition engine (as WebAssembly) on your device. The image and the recognized text are:
- never sent to any server,
- never stored by us (the result goes to your clipboard; Pro users may keep a local history on their own device),
- never shared with anyone.
The extension has no analytics, no trackers, and no account system.
Language data downloads
English recognition is fully packaged inside the extension. If a Pro user selects an additional language, the extension downloads that language's static recognition data file (a dictionary, not code) once. This download contains nothing about you or your images — it is the same public file for every user.
What is stored on your device
Your settings (recognition language), the free tier's daily counter, and — if you purchased Pro — your recognition history and purchase status. These live in Chrome's local extension storage on your device only. Uninstalling the extension deletes them.
Payments
The free features work without any purchase. If you choose to buy Pro, payment is processed by our payment provider; we never see or store your card details.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date.
