What People Use It For

🎤 Singing in your own keyKaraoke tracks and backing tracks are often too high or too low. Lower them 2 or 3 semitones for most male voices singing female songs, or raise them for the reverse.
🎸 Playing alongMatch a recording to your tuning: a band tuned half a step down is −1 semitone away from standard tuning, and an old recording may be a few cents sharp.
🐢 Learning a hard partSelect a fast solo, slow it to 60–75% and loop it. The notes stay in the original key, so you can play along on your instrument.
🎶 Nightcore and slowed editsFaster and higher, or slower and deeper with reverb, for edits and video soundtracks.
🎻 432 Hz tuningLower a song from standard 440 Hz tuning to 432 Hz with one click.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I change the key of a song without changing its speed?

Open the song, press Play and use the + and − buttons next to Pitch. Each step is one semitone. The tempo stays the same while you listen, and Save gives you an MP3 or WAV in the new key.

How many semitones should I shift to sing a song comfortably?

If the high notes are a strain, go down 1 to 3 semitones; if the low notes are too deep, go up. Sing along to the live preview while you click: the right key is the one where both the highest and the lowest notes feel easy.

Can I slow down a song without changing the pitch?

Yes. Keep the pitch when changing speed is on by default, so 75% or 50% speed stays in the original key. Select a hard passage with the handles and turn on Loop to practise it.

How do I convert a song from 440 Hz to 432 Hz?

Press the 440 → 432 Hz quick setting. It lowers the pitch by 32 cents, which is the difference between the two tunings, without changing the speed.

How do I make a nightcore or slowed and reverb version?

Press Nightcore for a faster, higher version, or Slowed + reverb for a slower, deeper version with hall reverb. Both turn off Keep the pitch so the voice changes with the speed, like a record played at a different speed.

Does changing the pitch reduce the sound quality?

Shifts of a few semitones sound natural on most music and voices. Large shifts of 7 to 12 semitones change the character of voices, which is expected. Save as WAV if you will edit the result further.

Can I change the pitch of the audio in a video?

Yes, open the video file and its sound is used. The tool saves the changed audio as MP3 or WAV; to put it back into the video, use Add or Replace Audio in Video.

Is my file uploaded?

No. The song is opened, changed and saved in your browser, and nothing is sent to a server.
