How to make a quiz

1. Type a topic, paste text or upload a file. Short input is treated as a topic; a longer passage becomes the source every answer must come from.
2. Choose the number of questions (5 to 20), the difficulty, the question type and the audience. Add a focus if you want, such as "key dates" or "vocabulary".
3. Click Generate quiz.
4. Play it, or open Teacher view to review the answers and swap questions.
5. Print the worksheet and answer key, or export to Kahoot, Quizlet, Moodle or CSV.

What makes a good quiz question

• A clear stem. The question makes sense on its own, without reading the options.
• One correct answer. No trick questions, no "all of the above".
• Believable distractors. The wrong options are plausible mistakes a learner might really make, and similar in length to the right one.
• One idea per question. Each question checks a different fact or skill.

Can I export the quiz to Kahoot, Quizlet or Moodle?

Yes, for free after a quiz is made. Kahoot gets a spreadsheet in Kahoot's own import template (.xlsx), Quizlet gets flashcards you paste into its Import box, and Moodle gets a GIFT file for the question bank. There is also a CSV for spreadsheets and Google Sheets, and a printable worksheet with a separate answer key.

Can I export the quiz to Google Forms?

Yes. Press Google Forms under the export buttons: the page copies a short Apps Script that builds the quiz in your own Google account, with 1 point per question, the answer key and each explanation as feedback. Paste it into a new Apps Script project and press Run; the execution log shows the edit link and the link for students.

Is the AI Quiz Generator free?

Yes. Every day you get free AI runs, and each quiz is one run (very long source texts count as more). Playing, printing and exporting a quiz are always free, and the examples on this page don't use a run at all. For more quizzes, you can buy AI credits or choose a plan.

What if I don't like a question?

Switch to Teacher view. Each quiz comes with spare questions, so you can replace a question you don't like, or remove it, without making a new quiz.

Are the answers accurate?

The generator is told never to ask about facts it is unsure of. Topic quizzes then get a second, separate review that removes any question whose answer looks wrong or ambiguous, and quizzes built from your own text are checked against it: a quote is shown only if it really appears in your text. AI can still make mistakes, so read the answers before you use a quiz for grading.

Which question types and difficulty levels are available?

Multiple choice with four options, true/false, or a mix. Difficulty can be easy (recall), medium (understanding), hard (analysis and close options) or mixed, which runs from easier to harder. You can also set the audience, from elementary school to university or workplace training.
