About ACFT Score Calculator
The ACFT Score Calculator converts your raw results in all six Army Combat Fitness Test events into points and gives you your total out of 600. It uses age- and gender-normed scoring, tells you whether you cleared the 60-point minimum in each event, and draws a radar chart that instantly shows which events are carrying you and which one is holding you back.
What Is the ACFT?
The Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) is the U.S. Army's test of physical readiness. It replaced the older three-event Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) and measures strength, power, muscular endurance, and cardiovascular fitness across six events. Every event is scored from 0 to 100 points, so the maximum total is 600 and the minimum passing total is 360 (60 points in each event).
The Six ACFT Events
Lift the heaviest weight you can for three continuous repetitions using a hex/trap bar. Tests lower-body and grip strength.
Throw a 10-lb medicine ball backward over your head for maximum distance in metres. Tests explosive power.
Perform as many hand-release push-ups as you can in two minutes. Tests upper-body muscular endurance.
Five 50-metre shuttles — sprint, sled drag, lateral, carry, sprint — for time. Tests anaerobic capacity and speed.
Hold a correct plank position for as long as possible. Tests core strength and endurance.
Run two miles as fast as you can. Tests aerobic endurance and is scored on your finishing time.
How ACFT Scoring Works
Each raw performance is converted into points using the Army's scoring tables, which differ by gender and by 10 age brackets (17–21, 22–26, 27–31, 32–36, 37–41, 42–46, 47–51, 52–56, 57–61, and 62+). Two anchors define each event's scale:
- 60 points — the minimum passing standard for that event, age group, and gender.
- 100 points — the maximum, awarded once you reach the top standard.
Performances between those two anchors are scored proportionally across the 60–100 range. This calculator interpolates linearly between the official 60- and 100-point standards to estimate your points, which is why it matches the scorecard exactly at the pass and max thresholds.
ACFT Score Categories
| Total Score | Rating | What It Means |
|---|---|---|
| Below 360 | Did Not Pass | One or more events under 60 points |
| 360 – 419 | Pass | Meets the standard in every event |
| 420 – 479 | Good | Clears the demanding-MOS benchmark of 420 |
| 480 – 539 | Very Good | Strong, competitive all-round scores |
| 540 – 599 | Excellent | Elite, well-rounded performance |
| 600 | Perfect Score | 100 points in every event |
Example: Male, Age 17–21
These are the 60-point (minimum) and 100-point (maximum) standards for a male in the youngest age bracket, to show how raw results map to points:
| Event | 60 Points (Pass) | 100 Points (Max) |
|---|---|---|
| 3-Rep Max Deadlift | 140 lbs | 340 lbs |
| Standing Power Throw | 6.0 m | 12.6 m |
| Hand-Release Push-Up | 10 reps | 57 reps |
| Sprint-Drag-Carry | 2:28 | 1:29 |
| Plank | 1:30 | 3:40 |
| Two-Mile Run | 22:00 | 13:22 |
How to Use This Calculator
- Enter your profile: Select your gender and enter your age so the correct age-normed table is used.
- Enter your six results: Type your deadlift weight, power-throw distance, push-up count, and your Sprint-Drag-Carry, Plank, and Two-Mile Run times as minutes and seconds.
- Click Calculate: Each raw result is converted into ACFT points.
- Review your scorecard: See your total out of 600, your pass/fail status, the radar chart of all six events, and your weakest event to focus on next.
Tips to Raise Your ACFT Score
- Attack your weakest event first. Points are hardest to gain near 100, so lifting a low event toward the middle of its range adds the most to your total.
- Train strength and power together. Heavy trap-bar deadlifts and explosive medicine-ball throws build both the MDL and SPT.
- Build muscular endurance. High-rep push-up sets and progressively longer planks raise the HRP and PLK.
- Run intervals. Tempo runs and 400–800 m repeats lower both your Sprint-Drag-Carry and Two-Mile Run times.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the six ACFT events?
The Army Combat Fitness Test has six events: the 3-Repetition Maximum Deadlift (MDL), the Standing Power Throw (SPT), the Hand-Release Push-Up (HRP), the Sprint-Drag-Carry (SDC), the Plank (PLK), and the Two-Mile Run (2MR). Each event is scored from 0 to 100 points.
What is a passing ACFT score?
You must score at least 60 points in every one of the six events to pass. Because the minimum is 60 per event, the lowest possible passing total is 360 points. The maximum total is 600 points, which is 100 in every event.
Is the ACFT age and gender normed?
Yes. Since 2022 the ACFT uses age- and gender-normed scoring tables, similar to the old APFT. An older soldier does not have to lift the same weight or run the same time as a younger soldier to earn the same points, but the structure — six events, a 60-point minimum, and a 600-point maximum — is identical for everyone.
How is each ACFT event scored?
Each raw performance is converted to points using the Army's scoring tables for your sex and age group. Reaching the 60-point standard earns 60 points and reaching the 100-point standard earns the maximum 100 points, with values in between scaled across that range. This calculator interpolates between the official 60- and 100-point standards to estimate your points.
What is the difference between the ACFT and the AFT?
The Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT) was the Army's test of record and includes all six events, including the Standing Power Throw. In mid-2025 the Army began transitioning to the Army Fitness Test (AFT), which removes the Standing Power Throw and tightens some standards. This tool scores the six-event ACFT.
How can I improve my ACFT score fastest?
Target your weakest event first, because moving an event from a low score up toward the 60–100 band adds the most total points. Heavy compound lifts raise your deadlift and power throw, high-rep push-up and plank training builds muscular endurance, and interval running lowers your Sprint-Drag-Carry and Two-Mile Run times.
