The Split PDF tool breaks one PDF into several separate files — right inside your browser. Open a document, see every page as a thumbnail, then split it whichever way suits you: cut it into custom page ranges by clicking the scissors between pages, extract every page into its own PDF, split into fixed chunks of every N pages, or tick just the pages you need and pull them into a single new file. Because everything happens locally on your device, your file is never uploaded to any server, which makes it safe for contracts, bank statements, medical records, scanned IDs and any other private document.

How to Split a PDF

1. Open your PDF. Drag your file onto the drop area or click Choose a PDF file. It is read in your browser and stays on your device.
2. Choose a mode. Pick Custom ranges, Every page, Every N pages or Select pages from the four tabs.
3. Mark where to split. Click the ✂ between two page thumbnails to add a cut, type ranges like 1-3, 4-6, set a chunk size, or tick the pages you want — the coloured segments show exactly what each output file will contain.
4. Split and download. Type an output name and click ✂ Split PDF. Download each piece on its own, or grab them all at once as a ZIP.
