How do I convert handwriting to text?

Can it read cursive?

Yes. It reads joined-up cursive, print and mixed handwriting, including old letters and recipe cards. When a word is hard to read it doesn't guess silently: it marks its best reading [like this?], or [illegible] when it can't read it at all, so you know exactly what to check.

Why not just use normal OCR?

Ordinary OCR is built for printed letters and usually turns handwriting into nonsense. This tool uses an AI model that reads handwriting the way a person does, from the shapes of whole words and the context around them.

Does it change what was written?
