Credit Hours Explained
Credit hours (or credit units) represent the workload of a course. Typically:
- A standard lecture course is 3 credit hours
- Lab courses with lecture may be 4 credit hours
- Intensive or specialized courses may be 5-6 credit hours
- Seminar or workshop courses may be 1-2 credit hours
