How does the reading list generator work?

Name books or authors you loved and, optionally, a genre, mood and length. The AI suggests books that share what you liked about them, then every suggestion is looked up in Open Library: only real books are kept, with their cover, first-publication year and page count, and a reason you'll like each one.

Can AI recommend books that don't exist?

Yes, AI tools often invent convincing titles. That's why every book here is checked against Open Library, a catalog of millions of books, and anything it can't find is removed before you see the list.

Can I get book recommendations for my child?

Yes. Choose Kids 8–12 or Young kids and name a few books they loved. The list sticks to books written for that age.

Can I add the list to Goodreads?

Yes. Tick the books you want to read, then Export to Goodreads downloads a CSV file you can import on Goodreads (My Books → Import and export) straight to your to-read shelf.

What are stretch picks?

Most of the list stays close to what you loved. A few stretch picks share something important with your favourites but take you into a different genre or style, a good way to find a new favourite author.
