About Slugging Percentage Calculator

The Slugging Percentage Calculator is used to calculate the slugging percentage (abbreviated SLG) used in baseball statistics.

Slugging Percentage Definition

In baseball statistics, the slugging percentage is a popular measure of the power of a hitter. It is calculated as total bases divided by at bats.

Slugging Percentage Calculation Formula

The slugging percentage is calculated in the following way, where SLG is the slugging percentage, AB is the number of at-bats for a given player, and 1B, 2B, 3B, and HR are the number of singles, doubles, triples, and home runs, respectively.

SLG = (1B + 2 × 2B + 3 × 3B + 4 × HR) / AB
